The weekend of June 27th thru June 29th is a weekend packed with many headliners. The main attraction is the night of racing on June 27th at Yonkers Raceway featuring the Grade 2 MGM Yonkers Trot for a purse of $300,000 featuring Super Chapter and the Grade 2 MGM Grand Messenger for a purse of $200,000 featuring Twisted Destiny kicking off Triple Crown action.
June 27th is a day featuring stake action at three different tracking including the aforementioned Yonkers Raceway, Woodbine Mohawk Park, and Hoosier Park. We start the action off north of the border at Woodbine Mohawk Park with two divisions of the Tompkins-Geers for 2 Year Old Trotting & Pacing Colts & Geldings. First we see the Tompkins-Geers for 2 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings sending out a single division for a purse of $47,250 CDN, followed by the Tompkins-Geers for 2 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings sending out a single division for a purse of $63,950 CDN. From here we head southwest to Hoosier Park for Indiana Sire Stakes action including two divisions of the Indiana Sire Stakes Eligibles for 3 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings goin for a purse of $16,000 each, followed by two divisions of the Indiana Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings for a purse of $49,500 and $50,000. We then head east for the main event of the weekend at Yonkers Raceway starting off with two divisions of the Grade 3 Park MGM Pace for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies goin for a purse of $50,000 each. Next up on the card is the Grade 3 New York New York Mile for 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies sending out two divisions for a purse of $50,000 each. Lastly to close the night out we have the two aforementioned headliners of the weekend first up is the first Leg of the Trotting Triple Crown the Grade 2 MGM Yonkers Trot for 3 Year Old Open Trotters goin for a purse of $300,000 featuring one of the Hambo favorites Super Chapter, and followed by the first Leg of the Pacing Triple Crown the Grade 2 MGM Grand Messenger for 3 Year Old Open Pacers goin for a purse of $200,000 featuring Twisted Destiny.
June 28th is a star studded day of stake action featuring stake events at five different tracks including Scioto Downs, Hoosier Park, First Tracks Cumberland, Woodbine Mohawk Park, and The Meadowlands. The day starts of with Maine Sire Stakes action at First Tracks Cumberland featuring two divisions of the Maine Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings goin for a purse of $10,000 each. From there we head to Scioto Downs for the Carol's Comet Final for 3 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings for a purse of $30,000. We then shot over to Hoosier Park for more Indiana Sire Stake action including one division of the Indiana Sire Stakes Eligibles for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies goin for a purse of $16,000, followed by two divisions of the Indiana Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies for a purse of $49,500 and $49,000. We then head north of the border for Ontario Sire Stakes Gold action for 3 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings sending out two divisions for a purse of $90,000 CDN each. We cap the night off with a star studded card at The Meadowlands featuring Twin B Joe Fresh. The stake action gets under way with the W.N. Reynolds Memorial "Scott Frost" for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings sending out two divisions for a purse of $34,825 and $34,325, followed by the W.N. Reynolds Memorial "Mary Reynolds" for 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies sending out two divisions for a purse of $33,375 and $32,875. We then move up to the Open ranks for both Trotters & Pacers with two divisions of the Dave Brower Memorial FanDuel for 4 Year Old & Up Open Pacers goin for a purse of $86,500 each featuring the likes of Abuckabett Hanover, Ken Hanover, Bythemissal, and Ervin Hanover. Next up on the card is the Six Pack FanDuel for 4 Year Old & Up Open Trotting Mares sending out one division for a purse of $114,500 featuring Dial Square S, Call Me Goo, and M-Ms Dream. The Queen of Pacing takes to the track in the next featured event the Perfect Sting FanDeul for 4 Year Old & Up Open Pacing Mares goin one division for a purse of $116,500, followed by the featured Crawford Farms FanDuel for 4 Year Old & Up Open Trotters sending out one division for a purse of $164,000 featuring Aetos Kronos S and Periculum.
June 29th is a quiet way to end the fast paced or trotted weekend with just two stake events at Running Aces featuring the Minnesota Sired 3 Year Old Open Trot sending out one division for a purse of $21,000 and the Final of the Ron Banks Memorial for 3 Year Old & Up Pacing Fillies & Mares goin for a purse of $42,750.
