As 2 Year Old stakes action begins this week is the busiest of the season so far headlined by the 4 Year Old Kentucky Sire Stake Finals at Oak Grove sending out all four class finals for a purse of $150,000 each.
June 23rd starts the week off with stake action at four different tracks including a oversized complete stake card at Oak Grove, and stake action at Harrington Raceway, Monticello Raceway, and Woodbine Mohawk Park. The week begins at Monticello Raceway with the New York Excelsior Series and New York Sire Stakes for 2 Year Old Trotting Fillies, including one New York Excelsior Series divisions for a purse of $20,000 and two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes for a purse of $53,500 each. From there we head south to Oak Grove for 15 Kentucky Sire Stakes races beginning at 10 am Eastern Time including all 2 Year Old classes and the 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies. The card begins with Kentucky Sire Stakes for 2 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings sending out three divisions for a purse of $40,000 each, followed by the Kentucky Sire Stakes for 2 Year Old Pacing Fillies sending out two divisions for a purse of $40,000 each. Next on the card we see the Kentucky Sire Stakes for 2 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings sending out three divisions for a purse of $40,000 each, followed by the 2 Year Old Trotting Fillies sending out three divisions for a purse of $40,000 each. The card concludes with four divisions of the Kentucky Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies for a purse of $40,000 each. We head east from Oak Grove to Harrington Raceway with a week of special post times at 7:00 PM due to extreme heat with the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund for 3 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings sending out two eliminations for a purse of $20,000 each. We end the day north of the border at Woodbine Mohawk Park with one division of the Ontario Sire Stakes Gold for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings goin for a purse of $140,000 CDN.
June 24th sends us to five different tracks for stake action including Oak Grove, Harrington Raceway, Hoosier Park, Woodbine Mohawk Park, and Running Aces. We start the day at 10 am Eastern Time at Oak Grove with a card overflowing with stake action including the aforementioned Kentucky Sire Stake Finals for 4 Year Olds all goin for a purse of $150,000 each. The card also includes the Kentucky Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings sending out three divisions for a purse of $40,000 each, followed by the Kentucky Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings sending out three divisions for a purse of $40,000 each. We conclude the stake action at Oak Grove with the Kentucky Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies sending out three divisions for a purse of $40,000 each. From Oak Grove we head to Woodbine Mohawk Park for Ontario Sire Stake action including the Ontario Sire Stakes Grassroots for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings sendings out four divisions for $25,000 CDN each and three divisions of the 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies for $25,000 CDN each. We then head to Harrington Raceway for three eliminations of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund races for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies goin for a purse of $20,000 each. We then venture to Running Aces for their first 2 Year Old Stake events of the season starting with the Minnesota Sire 2 Year Old Open Trot Class A sending out one division for $21,000. The card also includes the Minnesota Sired 2 Year Old Class A Pacing Fillies and Pacing Colts & Geldings sending out one division each for a purse of $17,000 each. The day concludes at Hoosier Park with Indiana Sire Stake action featuring one division of the Indiana Sire Stakes Eligible for 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies for a purse of $16,000 and one division of the Indiana Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies for a purse of $96,000.
June 25th take us to three different tracks for the smallest set of stake action for the week including Harrington Raceway, Buffalo Raceway, and Bangor Raceway. Bangor Raceway starts us off with the Maine Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies sending out two divisions for a purse of $11,927 and $11,926. From Bangor we head west to Buffalo Raceway for 3 Year Old Trotting New York Sire Stake action. We start the card of with two divisions of the New York Excelsior Series for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings goin for a purse of $20,000 each, followed by a single division of the New York Excelsior Series for 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies for a purse of $20,000. The card then continues on with two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies goin for a purse of $58,000 and $56,900. The card concludes with a single division of the New York Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings goin for a purse of $119,700. We finish the day heading south to Harrington Raceway for both classes for trotters in the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund beginning with two eliminations for the 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies goin for a purse of $20,000 each, and followed by two eliminations for the 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings for a purse of $20,000 each.
June 26th sends us to five different tracks to end out the week with stake action Hoosier Park, Running Aces, Scioto Downs, The Meadows, and Woodbine Mohawk Park. Hoosier Park sends out Indiana Sire Stakes action including two divisions of the Indiana Sire Stake Eligible for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings for a purse of $16,000 each, followed by two divisions of the Indiana Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings for a purse of $49,000 and $49,500. We then head to Running Aces for Minnesota Sired action with one division of the 3 Year Old Class A Pacing Fillies for a purse of $15,000 and one division of the 3 Year Old Class A Pacing Colts & Geldings for a purse of $15,000. The day also includes the Tompkins-Geers at Woodbine Mohawk Park for 2 Year Old Fillies, the Currier & Ives for 3 Year Old Trotters at The Meadows, and two stake finals at Scioto Downs with all three being drawn on Monday afternoon.
