The weekend is headlined by the Pepsi North American Cup XLII eliminations for 3 Year Old Pacers at Woodbine Mohawk Park sending out three eliminations for a purse of $50,000 each and the Grade 2 Battle Of Lake Erie at Northfield Park for FFA Invitational Pacers goin for a purse of $200,000 both on Saturday June 7th.
June 6th sends out stake action at four different track with sire stake action on both sides of the border. The action starts with Tioga Downs sending out three divisions of the New York Excelsior Series for 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies for a purse of $20,000 each, followed by New York Sire Stake action in two divisions for 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies for a purse of $58,000 each. The Meadowlands sends out a card filled with New Jersey Sire Stakes and New Jersey Standardbred Development Fund races. The New Jersey Standardbred Development Fund sends out two single divisions for 3 Year Old Colts & Geldings and 3 Year Old Filly Pacers each for a purse of $10,000 each. New Jersey Sire Stakes then sends out three divisions of the 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings for a purse of $20,000 each. The card concludes with three divisions of the New Jersey Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies for a purse of $20,000 each. We then go north of the border to see stake action at Truro Raceway and Woodbine Mohawk Park. Truro Raceway sends out three divisions of the Atlantic Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies for a purse of $10,420 CDN each. The stake action ends at Woodbine Mohawk Park with the Ambro Flight and Goodtimes. The Ambro Flight for 3 Year Old & Up Trotting Fillies & Mares sends out two eliminations for a purse of $35,000 CDN each, while the Goodtimes for 3 Year Old Open Trotters sends out two divisions for a purse of $30,000 CDN each.
June 7th we see stake actions at four different tracks including both of the aforementioned feature races of the weekend. The day begins with Pennsylvania Stallion Series action at The Meadows for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies sending out six divisions for a purse of $20,000 each. The card then has two divisions of the Adios Betty Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies goin for a purse of $56,119. We then head to Virginia for two finals of the Virginia Breeders Fund at Shenandoah Downs. The first of two finals comes to us with the Virginia Breeders Fund Final for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings for a purse of $86,600, followed by the Virginia Breeders Fund Final for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies goin for a purse of $89,600. From there we head to Northfield Park for multiple stake events starting with eight divisions of Ohio Sire Stakes each for a purse of $65,000 each. Including two divisions of each class of 3 Year Old Colts & Geldings Trotters and Pacers and two divisions for each of the 3 Year Old Fillies Trotters and Pacers. The card at Northfield Park concludes with the two featured events the MGM Buckeye Distaff for Ohio Sired 4 Year Old & Up Pacing Mares for a purse of $75,000 and the Grade 2 Battle OF Lake Erie for Free For All Pacers for a purse of $200,000. Lastly we head north of the border again to Woodbine Mohawk Park for two sets of eliminations for two major stake events. The Fan Hanover for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies sends out two eliminations featuring the Canadian Horse of The Year Chantilly and the Chris Ryder trainee Miki And Minnie each goin for a purse of $35,000 CDN. Lastly we have the eliminations for the Pepsi North American Cup XLII sending out three divisions each for a purse of $50,000 CDN featuring Louprint.
June 8th features another day with stake action at four different tracks starting at Shenandoah Downs with the last two finals for the 3 Year Old Virginia Breeders Fund. First we have the Virginia Breeders Fund Final for 3 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings goin for a purse of $87,200 followed by the Virginia Breeders Fund Final for 3 Year Old Pacing Fillies goin for a purse of $91,100. We then head to Northfield Park for five divisions of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 3 Year Old Pacing Colts & Geldings goin for a purse of $20,000 each. We then move east to Pocono Downs for Pennsylvania Stallion and Sire Stake action beginning with four division of the Pennsylvania Stallion Series for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings for a purse of $20,000 each, to be followed by two divisions of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings goin for a purse of $52,533 each. We finish the weekend of nonstop action in the state of Minnesota at Running Aces with three stake events. First on the card we have the final for the Banker Volo for 3 Year Old & Up Trotters goin for a purse of $12,500, followed by two separate divisions of the Minnesota Sire Stake for 3 Year Old Trotting Colts & Geldings and 3 Year Old Trotting Fillies each for a purse of $17,000 each.
