Top Hambo Horses Continue Winning Ways....

T C I tranined by Ron Burke and steered by David Miller opened their 2024 season on May 31, 2024 with a winning effort in the Super Bowl Pennsylvania Sire Stakes in a strong 1:52.2 mile. Miller floated out of the three hole to survey the field at the onset before clearing in a quarter in :27.2 leaving Bird and Grenade driven by Brady Brown parked out. T C I cruised to the half in :56 second quarter in :28.3. Miller gave T C I his head to the 3/4 pole as Coors Hanover driven by Mike Wilder came full speed after T C I but to no avail. At the 3/4 pole in 1:24.1 third panel in :28.1 T C I put away all challengers and under wraps costed down the lane opening up effortlessly by 4 lengths under wraps in 1:52.2 costing home in a final quarter of :28.1. A impressive first start to begin a long campaign with all roads leading to a showdown with Karl on August 3rd on Hambletonian Day.

Karl trained by Nancy Takter and steered by Yannick Gingras took flight in another impressive performance on May 31, 2024 at The Meadowlands in the New Jersey Sire Stakes Final 3 Year Old Colts & Geldings for $240,000. Gingras floated Karl out of the gate in what looked to be a move to take him off the gate and find a hole but no holes were available so Karl was pushed onward. Tony Adams driven by Dexter Dunn took them to the quarter pole in a soft :28.1 before releasing Karl midway up the backstretch. Karl got to the half in a leisurely :56.1 second quarter in :28 as he prepared for a all out speed move from Pantoran driven and trained by Ake Svanstedt in a fast first over move from sixth to matching strides with Karl just before the 3/4 pole in 1:24 flat a third quarter in :27.4. Off the turn Karl with Gingras settin like a statue in the bike begins to pick up speed and rebuffs the move from Pantoran and put away Tony Adams as he accelerates down the lane opening up effortlessly on the field under wraps in 1:51 final quarter in :27 winning by 7 lengths in a all out romp. Karl never broke a sweat dismantling this field and impressively we saw the confidence Gingras has in him as he never flinched at the 3/4 pole as Svanstedt stormed to Karl's head and was turn away effortlessly. With this win Karl takes a new lifetime mark showing that he is fully prepared to move closer to that 1:50 mark. The sky is the limit as this stunning looking trotter heads towards August 3rd on Hambletonian Day.
