Stake Race Round Up for the Week of June 3rd thru June 6th
This weeks action saw two track records fall in New York Sire Stake action on Monday June 3rd Keep Asking took down a track record that had stood since July 17, 2017. The former record was held by Money Macintosh of 1:56.1. Keep Asking driven by Tyler Buter and trained by George Ducharme took his division in 1:56 final panel in :28.1 setting the new track record for 3 year old trotting colts. On Wednesday June 5th Boston Rocks took down another long standing records at Buffalo Raceway a record which stood since May 12, 2012 by Steelhead Hanover of 1:52.3. Boston Rocks driven by Jason Bartlett and trained by Michael Deters won his division of the New York Sire Stakes action in 1:52.2 final panel in :27 under a hand drive to set the new track record for 3 year old pacing colts. Earlier in the card Ameritric driven by Brett Beckwtih and trained by George Ducharme tied the prior track record in a 1:52.3 effort with a final panel of :28.3. The action at Monticello Raceway and Buffalo Raceway saw Jason Bartlett take 3 of the 10 stake races and following closely behind was Brett Beckwith and Tyler Buter with 2 wins. Trainer George Ducharme also had a training triple and a new track record to cap off a great week for his stable. Oak Grove also had a full slate of action on Tuesday June 4th saw 6 Kentucky Sire Stakes for 4 Year Olds take place including five betting and one non betting race. The card saw Dexter Dunn take 3 out of the 6 races for a hat trick on the day followed by Yannick Gingras with 2 wins on the day. Trainer Tony Alagna also had a good day for his stable sending out 2 horses and coming home both winners on the card.
